The recent stormy weather reminds us of what can happen be sure you have your crop hail insurance in place. As little as ½ bushel of your crop can provide $100’s of dollars of coverage per acre.
On the crop insurance side:
Corn can be planted until June 5th without any yield guarantee reduction. Soybeans until June 20th. Don’t forget if you have to replant call your agent first let him register your claim.
The weather out look is favorable for the coming weeks and maybe we will finally get in the fields.
Farmers have a lot to do and the weather has shortened the time we have to do it. If you are following a tractor or meeting one on the road, be patient most all farmers will let you pass just as soon as it is safe. They don’t like holding up traffic either.
