Week 12 - WHEAT YIELDS AND REVIEWING COVERAGE SCHEDULES

This is Lonnie Sewell, crop insurance agent, with this week’s update, brought to you by Sewell Agency and ASI Crop-Hail ins.

This week we have several topics-The 1st one is wheat yield reporting. Do it now while it is fresh on your mind. Also, review your insurance coverage schedules when you get them back from your company. It is a lot easier to correct now than in the fall if you have a loss. A small error now could be costly later.

Wildlife damage -Did you know that wildlife damage is covered. If you have one of those fields that deer, turkey, and other animals just riddle, you may be eligible for a loss payment. However, livestock damage is not a payable loss, nor is chemical damage. In those cases the responsible party should pay.

Disaster Program-Sign up for the 2005-2006 spring crop and 2007 wheat Crop Disaster program. – Sign up may start in late August.

Don’t forget to protect those expensive crops with some inexpensive crop-hail insurance from ASI.
