This is Tanya Stimpson with this weeks crop insurance updated brought to you by the Sewell Agency in Chillicothe.
We received some more rain and the questions that are coming in are what my process is if my corn needs to be replanted.
To answer that question you first need to contact your agent so they can get an adjuster to you. The rule is you cannot replant any ground before an adjuster visits with you on your situation, they will not pay if the adjuster has not talked with you prior to replanting. The second thing is if you are not sure if you will need to replant call us anyway. We can turn in a replant claim and after you visit with the adjuster and you decide you don’t need to replant then they will just withdrawal the claim. Just remember call before you replant.
Don’t forget about the hail storms that will be coming and that will damage your growing crops. We can help you protect them with Crop Hail Insurance; give us a call to cover your crops from that damaging Hail.
If you have any questions or if we can help you with your crop insurance needs call 800-281-4020 your connection to crop protection.
