Hi! This is Tanya Stimpson with this week’s crop insurance update. This week’s topic is 2009 Crop Production, Plant dates, and Hail Coverage and brought to you by the Sewell Agency in Chillicothe.
A reminder to all farmers that if you have not turned your 2009 crop production in to your agent you need to do that now. If this production does not get turned in your aph will get penalized. So turn them in as soon as possible.
Planting Dates have changed in most counties for corn and beans and in most instants have moved up a few days to a week. Make sure you contact your agent for the correct planting dates for your county.
The Storms are starting to roll in and I want you to be prepared if you were able to get wheat in and it is looking good you might want to talk with us about covering that wheat crop with a hail policy from ADM Crop Risk Services. Call me and I would be happy to help you.
